Some Other Posts i got some idea's from; A new discussion to Make PC more enjoyable (Wildcards) -HowDidThatTaste

So as most of you have realized PC is broken/boring take your pick of which one. The problem is there isn't any goals in PC, some corps have come up with how much isk they want in the wallet but thats just a waiting game. The matches are laggy and no different to a normal pub match apart from you have an organized and (sometimes) decent enemy.
So how to fix this? There's two ways the short term fixes and long term fixes. I think some good ideas have already been put forward.
So short term fixes: PVE - You've already been pushing this for the last year, let's get it out, as it is actually something fresh.
Lag - This is something you HAVE to do to be considered taken seriously. You can hardly call a 30fps game "competitive" let alone when you're lagging all over the place.
Map - Some way to tell what map it will be BEFORE you drop on the ground. Or just fix the map table thing, they're pretty much the same thing
Game Mode - One of the benefits of owning a district is you would pick the game mode, whether it's Real Skirmish (1.0), New Skirmish (2.0) or Domination or whatever objective based game modes are implemented in the future. This can make the enemy uncomfortable if for example they're bad at CQC and they're playing Domination, and will also make people make better choices on what district they attack as they will have different gamemodes and you don't want to pick one your corp is poor at. This will also add more variety to PC.
Long Term fixes:
Rewards - Lets have some real rewards, isk is nice and all but i will get to that later. This also reminds me Joeman505 made this point

Now although i think this was posted as a bit of a joke i actually think it's a good idea. It gives people a free way to get paid stuff (keeping it a free game) gives people a reason to get into PC, even if it is E-Peen stroking as you can show off in the warbarge/pub match that your corp is in PC possibly causing tensions which will lead to competitiveness which will then lead to two corps/alliances going head to head in PC, just because of butthurt.
Starter Packs - Only allow a corp to use starter packs a few times (as they are starter packs) this will make players have to tactically choose where they want to sit in PC to use the least amount of clones to attack a district, it will still allow new corps to get into PC without raising the price so high it makes it a horrible grind for them.
Comms - You've been told this for a LONG time, since before closed beta. Comms need to be reliable and atm they're poor. People have pointed you (CCP) towards going for the mag style comms which were PERFECT. Everyone needs to be able to hear the Battle Commander, and Squad Leaders should be able to hear other Squad Leaders all without having to hear the other members of the squad.
if i think of anymore i'll add them under this line

Another thing I was thinking was maybe some different maps that you only see in PC. And when you hold a district you get isk discounts for weapons because you have the production. Some more incentives to hold districts would be nice, but for now it would be nice to just see the Comms and the lag issues resolved. But I really think that PC exclusive maps would be cool. Honestly that is one of the advantages of defending your own turf is knowing the lay of the land...just a thought.
This is a good point, but it'll only be whilst we have the NPC store |
